										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Seventeen organizations within the former St. Clement Hospital and Maria Care facilities service area &#8211; now known as Red Bud Regional Hospital (RBRH) and Red Bud Nursing Home (RBNH) &#8211; have been awarded grants by the St Clement Community Foundation (SCCF).</p>
<p>The grants are awarded annually to those who are actively involved in health-related activities.</p>
<p>Total grants of $20,000 were awarded to the following agencies: Linc Inc, Caritas Family Solutions, Southwestern Illinois College Foundation, Southwestern Illinois College Programs and Services for Older Persons, Southern Region of Children’s Home &amp; Aid, Life Network of Southern Illinois, Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois, Sandra M Berietschaft Foundation, House of Neighborly Services jointly with Human Support Services/Monroe County YMCA, Monroe County Ambulance, Human Service Center, Heartlinks Grief Center at Family Hospice, Christ Our Savior School, Waterloo High School and Red Bud Regional Hospital. In addition, $2,000 was given as a co-sponsor of the Community Health Fair held September 21, 2019.</p>
<p>SCCF was formed to provide Randolph, Monroe, and southern St. Clair county communities a way to ensure the availability and enhancement of health care services for future generations. In addition to scholarships, SCCF awards grants annually to area agencies who are actively involved in health-related activities.  Since 2003, the Foundation has provided grants and scholarships to the community of over $453,000.  For more information about SCCF, please visit <a href="https://www.stclementcf.org/">stclementcf.org</a>.</p>

<p>Spring 2019 &#8211; Nine students from schools within the former St. Clement Hospital and Maria Care facilities service area &#8211; now known as Red Bud Regional Hospital (RBRH) and Red Bud Nursing Home (RBNH) &#8211; have been awarded scholarships by the St Clement Community Foundation (SCCF).  </p>



<p>The
scholarship is intended to support deserving students in their academic
endeavors and the development of quality health care professionals in this
region.&nbsp; The Foundation strongly
encourages scholarship recipients, upon completion of their program of study,
to seek employment in the health care field in this geographic area in keeping
with the mission of this foundation to ensure the availability and enhancement
of health care services to residents of our area.</p>



<p>Consideration
is given to candidates who are traditional students, non-traditional students (attending
college some years after high school), and to applicants who are an employee of
RBHR/RBNH or are a dependent of an employee.</p>



<p>Scholarship
awards this year were for $1,500 each.&nbsp; Recipients
are: Traditional – Amanda Toth who was homeschooled in Waterloo, Sara Andres
from Valmeyer High School, Rachel Hall from Marissa Jr/Sr High School, and Sara
Rose from Gibault Catholic High School.&nbsp;
Non-Traditional &#8211; Tammy Kloepper of Red Bud, Kara Roth of Prairie du
Rocher, Shawnna Phillips of Valmeyer, Rebecca Koopman of Red Bud, and Victoria
Trujillo of Red Bud.&nbsp; </p>



<p>SCCF
